Statistics show that United States farmers used approximately 1/3 pound of chemical fertilizers and pesticides for each pound of harvested cotton. So on average, it takes 3lbs of chemicals to make one regular sized cotton t-shirt. If you have chemically sensitive children and/or children with Autism it is essential that their clothing, bedding... etc is made with organic fabrics. All of the fabrics on this page have been pre-washed with seventh generation all natural detergent. The items that require padding like the shopping cart covers and nap mats, we use organic cotton or organic wool quilters batting and we use organic natural color thread.
